Abstract

In the present investigation, an attempt has been made to study the simultaneous effects of the major processing variables on the extent of reduction of iron ore by passing fo CO gas in an externally heated cylindrical steel capsule placed in the furnace. The project goal is to study the behavior of CO gas in reduction of iron ore. The variables studied are time and temperature. The reduc-tion was done at temperatures 950oC, 1000oc and 1050oC.
