This repository encourages scientists of CSIR-NML to self-archive post-prints (peer-reviewed draft in word or pdf form) of the journal papers as soon as it is accepted by the journal publishers. Mediated archiving service is also provided by the repository administration team. In case of non-availability of post-prints with authors or any publisher embargo, published version of the papers are allowed to be self-archived with restricted access to NML users. Any other interested users outside NML, who wish to use the article may use "Request Copy" facility that has been provided for every restricted access article.

Apart from journal article, the repository facilitates self-archiving/mediated archiving of conference papers, theses and patents.

As it is an institutionally defined repository, permission to upload documents is restricted to only CSIR-NML scientists and researchers. "Create Account" facility will work only for CSIR-NML intranet users.
