Presentation of most significant brick properties of the new pitch bonded product line of the Austre-American Magnesite Company. Comparison of brick properties with those of the former tar bonded brick brands. Revalor-isation of pitch bonded brick brandes containing high iron sintered magnesite by improved brick production tech-nology, Increased values for warm crushing strength, hot module of rupture and retained carbon. First results with magnesite carbon brick brands in BOFs. Burned, pitch impregnated, low iron magnesite brick with 5% Cao as possible new brick brand with improved slag resistance.
