Abstract

The National Metallurgical Laboratory has conducted a large number of research and investigations including extensive pilot plant studies on behald of industrial and government organisations relating to raw material problems, smelting techniques, production of metals and alloys, utilization of metallurgical wastes, substitute products, development of refractories etc. The resluts of the work done along with the economics of the process in many cases have been furnished to the sponsoring autho-rities for commercial impletation.
