Abstract
Limestone deposits in Orissa -- Mr Biju Patnaik, Chief Minister of Orissa, informed the State Assembly that limestone deposits estimated at 40 milllion tons had been discovered in the Umbavali area near Pontanri in the Koraput District. The utility of these limestones for the manufacture of cement and other industries is being exam-ined by the Orissa Mining Corporation, Utilization of these deposits would be considered on the basis of their report.
