Abstract
A new high temperature steel - Samuel Fox and Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of the United Steel Cos. Ltd., has started commercial production of a new alloy steel designed for service temperatures up to 675°C. Known as Esshete 1250, this austenitic creep-resisting steel is the outcome of five years of research and testing, with the result that comprehensive data are available on its properties and performance.
