Abstract
To Focus attention on the latest research and industrial developments in the field of light metals and their alloys and to exchange technical know-how with the leading scien-tists and metallurgist from different parts of the world, a symposium on "Light Metal Industry in India" was organ-ised by the National Metallurgical Laboratory at Jams-hedpur from 14th to 17th February,1961.
