Abstract
To focus attention on the role of pilot plants in metal-lurgical research and development and with a view to exchange technical "know-how" with leading scientists and metallurgists from different parts of the world, a Symposium on "Pilot Plants in Metallurgical Research and Development" was organised by the National Metallurgical Laboratory, at Jamshedpur, from 15th to 18th February, 1960.
