Abstract

IT was not until the turn of last century that a need was felt by research organisations to present their scientific findings and developments in popular language in order to communicate to the general public the comp- lexities of research technique on the one hand, and the utility of these results on the other. In the attempt to do so, was born the need for effecting public relations and scientific journalism.
