Abstract

3 Ton/day Experimental Blast Furnace: Results of the experimental research carried out on a 3 ton-per-day blast furnace to improve operational efficiency can be briefly stated as follows:- i) Effect of crushing and screening of raw materials: Iron ores and metallurgical coke of four different sizes were successively smelted in the furnace. Optimum sizes for iron ore and coke were found to be 6.5 mm. and 17.2 mm. respectively.
