Abstract
In this work an attempt has been made to isolate the microorganisms from the garden soil and metal contaminated site in the laboratory of NML to observe their growth and tolerance to heavy metal ion concentration such as Cadmium. The adapted microbes can be further used for the bioremediation of heavy metals from contaminated sites.
