Abstract
In this period of training, various methods dealing with isolation of bacteria and fungus, their microbiological characterization and observations were performed. The pure culture of Aspergillus niger obtained from IMTECH, Chandigarh was revitalized and sub-cultured thrice for maintaining pure cell line. Mycological studies were carried out for isolation of various different forms from garden soil sample; which are concurrently purified and would be used in biosorption studies after establishing binding efficiency of these forms with chromium ion.
