Thermodynamic Considerations in Metal Extraction

Goel, R P (2008) Thermodynamic Considerations in Metal Extraction. In: Proceedings on Extraction of Nonferrous Metals and their Recycling - A Training programme, Feb. 27-29th, 2008, NML, Jamshedpur.

Chemical thermodynamics can be used to ascertain the feasibility of a given chemical reaction. It permits quantitative calculation to the state of equilibrium of a system. Conversely, the concepts of chemical equilibria can be used to find out conditions for making a desired reaction feasible.
