Some Aspects of Cathodic Protection

Lahiri, A K (1971) Some Aspects of Cathodic Protection. In: Proceedings of Short Course on "Corrosion Control in Water and Waste Water Engineering, Feb. 24th-27th, 1971, NML, Jamshedpur.

Many regard cathodic protection as a mysterious subject involving good amount of black magic though the basic principles of cathodic protection are really very simple. AS already discussed by Prof. Arceivala, corrosion is an electrochemical proces, with current flowing between two areas having difference in potential.
