Abstract
In the beginning of 1976, SOLLAC (Societe Lorraine de Laminage Continu) decided to build in Seremange, Moselle, a new steelmaking plant equipped with 2x240t LWS converters. This plant was to replace the three old steelmaking plants: Kaldo (one blowing stand with 140t exchangeable vessels), open hearth (4x65t vessels).
