Abstract
The 'Silver Jubilee Celebrations of the CSIR' which were held on 10th and 11th August, 1968, at the National Metallurgical Laboratory as well as in all the CSIR Research Laboratories of the country including the CSIR Headquarters at the New Delhi, give us a good opportunity to pause for a while, look back at the years that have lapsed, take stock of the work done and the achievements made and ponder over the tasks which remain to be done in the years that lie ahead.
