Abstract
A Major advancement in metal industry of the country during successive Five-Year Plans is the established of Alloy, Tool and Special Steel plants to meet the ever- increasing demand of special steels needed for defence and other requirements. To feed the alloy steel plant it is imperative to set up ferro-alloy industries to cater the different grades of ferro-alloys which otherwise need to be imported thereby draining huge and precious foreign exchange.
