Rao, T C (1985) Hydrocyclone - A useful Tool in Comminution Circuit. In: Proceedings of National Seminar on Mineral Processing and IX Annual Technical Convention of the Indian Institute of Mineral Engineers, 11th & 12th March 1985, National Metallurgical Laboratory(CSIR) Jamshedpur.
Since their development at the Dutch State Mines at Limburg in 1939, hydrocyclones have gained widespread use as size separating units in the mineral processing indu-stry. These are basically centrifugal classifiers and have been widely accepted because of their low cost, flexibility of operation, high capacity per unit floor area and amena-bility to computerised control through modelling and simulation.
