Abstract
The modern steel industry is in a phase of rapid technological change, but our objective should not be to pursue new expensive and untried technologies merely they are new. We have to tackle the more difficult problem of realizing optimum conditions to suit our equipment, scale of production and raw materials. In this process, standardisation of machines, materials and output is of the utmost importance and output is of the utmost importance and the highest priority is to be given to a full utilisation of the existing capacity.
