Abstract

The heat contents of three lead-antimony alloys hypo-eutectic, eutectic and hyper-eutectic have been measured in the temperature, range 200-900°C. The heat capacities were derived from the computed equations for the heat content and their variation with the temperature is reported graphically. The curves reveal discontinuities in the variation of heat capacity with temperature. Attempts have been made to explain these discontinuities in terms of the structure in liquid state.
