Abstract

A method has been developed for determining the value of the effective camera radius, to be used in a Debye-Scherrer powder photograph for calculation of the Bragg angles and lattice parameter. Measurement of the linear distances between three lines of the Debye photograph appears to be sufficient for evaluating the effective radius. The limiting assumption, common to the conventional methods, that the film shrinkage is uniform over the entire film length need be made in this method of evaluation. (K.D.
