Abstract

The characteristic properties of asbestos 1ike pliability and strength of fibers, non-combustibility, low heat conductivity, resistance to electricity and weathering, 1ight weight etc. make it ideal for many industrial purposes. Use of asbestos fibers depends to a great extent on their intrinsic physical characteristics. combination with asbestos fibers has more strength and contributes largely to rendering the hardened material impervious to water, maintaining ns: and flexibility
