Abstract
The paper outline the applications of the different grades of ferrochrome. Immediate demand for different grades of Ferro-chrome has been assessed at 25000tons in India which is likely to be doubled in due course .production techniques of medium carbon ferrochrome have been indicated.the paper critically discusses the different methods for the production of low carbon Ferro-chrome and their application in Indian conditions
