Abstract

Sintering and firing characteristics of Jainti dolomite were studied to assess its suitability both as semi-stable and completely stabilised product for use in steel-making refractories. The dolomite was pure and could be used for manufacturing both the products, if suitably processed. (Mr. P.C. Sen, Senior Scientific Officer, Mr. M.R.K. Rao, Senior Scientific Officer; Mr. H.V. Bhaskar Rao, Assistant Director; National Metallurgical Laboratory)
