Abstract
Bonding of a high purity commercially available alumina (SRM-30) by Magnesia doping without changing its intrinsic conditions has been studied. Forming pressure of 40000 psi and 15% moisture addition in it had been the optimum (60% td). Fine aluminium powder addition (0.25 wt%) however gives it better green consolidation (77% td)
