Abstract

The sand sample designated UPSS-1 was received from the Directorate of Geology & Mining, Govt. of U.P. to assess its suitability for foundry moulding purposes. The sand sample is reported to have been collected from the MANAKWAN area in the Allahabad district. The sand as received was nearly white in colour.
