Abstract
A sample of phosphate rock was received from the Deputy Chief Engineer, Fertilizer Corporation of India Ltd., Sindri, for determining the Bond’s Work Index. Grindability tests were conducted separately using 65 and 80 mesh screens to determine the work Index values. The results indicated that Bond’s Work Index Values of the phosphate sample were independent of the sieve used and were found to be 9.88 KWH/tonne for dry grinding. The -80 mesh ground product contained the size distribution of 88.2% of -100 mesh fines and 58.8% of -200 mesh fines, which almost conformed to be the specified values.
