Abstract
The sand sample designated GSI IV was received from the Geological Survey of India, Tamil Nadu Circle. The sand sample is reported to have been collected from a deposit east of Cheyur (66 D/3=4; 12 °21:80°.00.). The sand sample as received was dull white in colour. The sand sample was investigated at the NML F.S., Madras with a view to studying its suitability for foundry moulding purposes. The sand sample as received was dull white in colour.
