Abstract

The sand sample No. LSS-3 was investigated to study its suitability as a foundry moulding material. The sand sample was collected from the source Budhi Nala, about 2 Furlong away from Ludhiana on the Amritsar By-pass. The ’as received’ sand was dirty black in colour and medium to fine-grained in size.
