Abstract

The Sand sample no. LSS-2 was investigated to assess its suitability as a foundry moulding material. The sand sample was collected from the left side of the Amritsar road, about ½ furlong away from the Amritsar by Pass. The sand is being used for making moulds by the local foundries. As received, the sand was brown in colour and fine-grinding in size.
