Abstract
The investigation was undertaken to assess the suitability of sand sample no. KS-7 for foundry use. The sand sample was received from the Department of Industries, Govt. of Punjab. The sand sample is reported to have been collected from Khanpur Village near Chandigarh. As received, the sand was brown in colour.
