Abstract

An attempt has been made to mathematically model the transport process in typical electrolyser systems using conservation principles of transport phenomena. The numerical strategy of calculation of transport varirables for the two dimensional system is based on the Crank - Nicholson method for a unidimensional system. Distribution of stream function contours, concentration contours and local current density distribution for the given electrolyser systems with internal electrolyte recirculation has been found out for different Reynold and Schmidt number values.
