Abstract
: High strength Al - Zn - Mg alloys (with and without copper) have been subjected to total immersion and electro-chemical polarization studies in 3.5 wt.% NaCl solution with and without additives. Cerium nitrate and sulphate have the potentiality of reducing the corrosivity of chloride ions to a great extent.
