Abstract
The Bhawanagar Moulding Sand was sent by M/s Vishnu Cotton Mills Private Ltd., Sholapur (Bombay) to find out its suitability as a moulding sand for castings. Methods and materials employed: Standard methods as specified by The American Foundrymen’s Society, for sand testing were followed throughout this investigation, using Dietert sand testing equipment. Chemical analysis of sand was done in duplicate after standard sampling and drying at 110°C.
