Abstract
This investigation on silica sand from S.P. Foundries Kanpur, was undertaken with a view to determine its physical properties and suitability for foundry moulding purposes. Two cwts of sand was received from the above firm. The sand was collected from the river Ganga near Kanpur. The sand, as received was grey in colour.
