Abstract
This investigation was taken up with a view to determine the physical properties and moulding characteristics of the Rajkot sand. The exact location of the sand deposit is 6 to 8 miles away from Morvi (Saurastra), which is a natural deposit. The colour of the sand as received was red. Two cwts of sand was received from small Industries Services Institute, Rajkot.
