Abstract
The sand sample received from M/s A.K. Roy, Calcutta, was undertaken to investigate its suitability for moulding purposes. The sand sample obtained was from a river bed near Gidni in the district of Midnapur. The sand sample contained considerable gritty materials in the as received state. The investigation was taken up after sieving the sand through 6 mesh sieve.
