Abstract
This report to the study of a medium silica sand supplied by M/s. Premier Automobiles Ltd., Bombay to investigate its moulding characteristics and its suitability for casting automobile components. Deposits of this sand occur in the taluks of Malvan and Kudal in the district of Ratnagiri in Bombay state. The sample as received was pale brown in colour.
