Abstract

About 13 miles from Hyderabad station and two miles from Umdanagar station, quartz veins outcropping in a length of 3000 ft. And a width of 100 ft. Occur. According to the Geological Survey of India, the deposits are granites or gneisses. The rock is crushed to small pieces, calcined, of this sand was supplied by M/s Hargovindas Shivlal and Co. Bombay on behalf of M/s Mukand Iron and Steel Co. Ltd., Bombay. The sample has been investigated with respect to its suitability for steel moulding purposes.
