Abstract
Foundry technology is fast changing its phase from an art to a science. The art of founding, although known since ancient times in India, has only lately begun to feel the impact of modern development in processing of raw materials, improved instrumentation, modern equipment for production and inspection. Excellent prospects lie ahead of its this industry with the establishment of locomotive, automobile, aircraft, engineering and other industries.
