Place and mode of occurrence: The sand is obtained from deposits situated near the north civil station, Jubbulpore, located as overburden in adjacent fireclay quarries. The deposits belong to the upper Gondwana system and are of fluviatile or lacustrine origin. The sand is washed and screened to required mesh prior to supply.
