Abstract

The influence of successive additions of tin to copper on the dihedral angle of bronze vs liquid phases like lead and bismuth has been studied. The effect of temperature on the dihedral angel and hence on the relative interface has been reported. The tendency dihedral angle in the direction of gravity has been for increase in dihedral angle significance of interface energy studies in the incidence and control of intergranular failure due to presence of a liquid phase has been stressed.
