Abstract

Much has been about the ‘Powder Approach’ eulogising its merits and its claim as a ‘cure-all’ to many common ills in the production of small metal parts. No pretence is made in this paper to justify that claim nor is the intention to refure it. What is aimed at is a candid presentation of the variety of non-ferrous metal parts which are produced in the world today and which could be produced in India adopting this technique either from necessity or desirability.
