Abstract

The silver-refinery under construction in Calcutta will deliver, after removal of silver and copper, waste liquor containing nickel and zinc as sulphates, on approximately equal proportions. India is deficient both in nickel and zinc, particularly in the former, for which she has to depend entirely on import. The recovery of the metals, individually or as alloys would helps a great deal in the national economy.
