Abstract
The bentonite sample was received from M/S Industrial Minerals & Chemicals, Bombay and was in the form of lumps having a brownish colour dull waxy luster and a soapy touch. The sample was dried and ground in a ball mill and passed through a 100 mesh sieve of the U.S. sieve series. The sieved sample was used throughout the investigation.
