Abstract

The sand sample designated BTL-5 was received from the Department of Industries Govt. of Punjab, to assess its suitability for foundry moulding purposes. The sand is reported to have been collected from a source at Punj Graiyan about 6 miles and 3 Furlongs on Shri Hargobindpur Road from Batala. The sand sample in the as received state was pale brown in colour and medium to fine grained in size.
