Abstract
The sand sample designated BTL -17 were received from the Punjab State Industries Department, Chandigarh to assess its suitability for foundry moulding purposes. The sand sample is reported to have been collected from Burjnabad on Fatehgarh Churian Road. The sand as received was light brown in colour and contained balls and fine grains.
