Abstract
The sand received from the Director, Director ate of Geology & Mining, Lucknow, U.P., was investigated to study its suitability as a foundry moulding sand. The sand was collected from the lower unit of Kanchanpur, location 250° 13'-30" 81° 38-301" in U.P. The sand 'as-received', was medium to fine grained and yellow in colour.
