Abstract
Investigation on sand samples designated as GSP-I and GSP-II were sponsored by Punjab State Industries Department, Chandigarh to assess their suitability for foundry moulding purposes. The sand sample were collected from Chakki Bridge and S.D.College, Pathankot, respectively. The sand samples were mixed together and sampled for further studies. The samples were dark grey in colour and medium to fine grained.
