Abstract
The bentonite sample designated as “MP33” was received from Messrs Ambica Minechem Industries, Bhavnagar, Gujarat State. The sample was investigated to assess its suitability as a foundry binding clay. The bentonite deposit is located in the village Malpur, nearly 12 miles from Bhavnagar, Gujarat and occurs in the waste land in the form and yellowish in colour. The sample was dried and ground in a ball mill and passed through a 100 mesh sieve series. The sieved sample was used through the investigated.
